My porch!

Here are the after photos of my front porch. I did an earlier post on face book showing the tutorial of how I painted the porch cushions using Chalk Paint® Emperor's Silk. I was going for a Cape Cod/Nantucket style which I think I achieved! I'm still not quite done with the porch, I am looking for some great architectural salvage to hang on the wall, my husband is rolling his eyes right now as I explain that woman love to re fluff their nests!

The Mayor you say!

My 12 year old Jayden was helping out on the register today for the first time while I conducted my class, Nana can't see the buttons very well! Jayden's first sale was a can of Chalk Paint® to this wonderful gal to the far right, who was very patient! She told Jayden she could be anything in life she wanted, a doctor, teacher, mayor or even president! Then to our surprise and utter delight she introduced herself as Maryann Edwards The Mayor of Temecula, who by the way said she loves Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan! We were so honored and excited to meet her!

New addition to the shop!

I just decorated this little beauty painted in a Pure White wash on the outside, with a dry brush of Provence on the inside, all sealed and protected with clear wax. We will be doing a wash technique today in our 101 workshop today at Vintage Begonia.

What do you think?

I put the primitive cupboard on top of the buffet which I'm really loving, what do you think? I really love stately pieces! I could see this piece in a craft room loaded up with bits and pieces, or in a dining room loaded with white ironstone! Both pieces are available at the store.
